Knysna Wayside Inn

The Knysna Wayside Inn is one of the most centrally located Knysna accommodation establishments, just a few meters away from shops and restaurants.  It features elegantly decorated rooms and free off-street parking.  We offer a complimentary buffet breakfast freshly prepared every morning.

All rooms at Knysna Wayside Inn are stylishly decorated with colourful detail.  Each unit has a private bathroom with shower only and a TV with selected satellite channels.  Most rooms offer views of the square with its quaint shops and restaurants.  Some rooms have doors opening onto a French balcony.  Our upstairs rooms have air-conditioning, while our ground floor rooms all have ceiling fans.

The Pledge Nature Reserve is on our doorstep, a 10ha local nature reserve, with indigenous vegetation, quiet and serene dams and some wonderful trails including the one all the way to the top of the nature reserve, giving you a very rewarding view over the Inn, Knysna town, the Knysna Lagoon, the Heads and Indian Ocean on the horizon.

The Knysna Waterfront, with its many shops, restaurants and different options for boat- and sailing trips on the Lagoon is a leisurely 15-minute walk.  Knysna’s most famous landmark, the Knysna Heads are about 8 minute drive, with the beaches at Brenton-on-Sea and Buffalo Bay less than 20 minutes drive.

The Pezula Championship Golf Course as well as the Jack Nicklaus’ Signature Golf Course at Simola are both approximately 4 km away.  Through our well established connections we are able to offer our guests discounted rates at these and other golf courses in the area.

Last but not least, the greater Knysna offers some fantastic hikes and mountain biking trails in the Knysna Forest and the Garden Route National Park.  So pack your hiking shoes, bring your mountain bike and come and have some outdoor fun with us!
