This historic house is over 170 years old and is one of the original homes of Knysna.

It comprises two lettable units:

Carpe Diem Apartment:

This character filled one bedroom apartment has a large private lounge and a separate additional toilet room with wash basin and large built in cupboards.

The lounge has wooden floors and high ceilings and a roof fan. It is a lovely room for entertaining or relaxing. There is a double sleeper couch in the lounge offering a bed for up to two additional persons.

The bedroom has an extra-long Queen sized bed, with Sealy mattress, and en-suite bathroom (shower only) with toilet and washbasin. It also has a built-in cupboard and a roof mounted fan.

The apartment has excellent security and an enclosed garden. A Weber barbecue is available for making charcoal fired meals on the veranda.

Carpe Diem Pod:

The stylish and artistically decorated bedroom has a large double bed and en-suite bathroom (comprising shower and large bath) with toilet and washbasin. It also has a built-in cupboard and a work-space for computers or writing. Coffee and tea facilities are available, with a kettle and French Press if needed. A microwave stove is also supplied.

The dining room is private, although it is used by the host for access to his own living area. A shared fridge is available if needed.

There is an outdoor area to relax on a wooden deck, complete with a Weber braai for making barbeque meals.

Both units offer highspeed WiFi and satellite TV (DSTV) with 103 channels and off-street parking for cars and or trailers behind locked gates.

Location:

The house is close to the following churches – Anglican, Catholic, Methodist, NGK and an evangelical church and is within walking distance to town, shopping malls, and restaurants. It is central to all the attractions of Knysna and surrounds.

The Gym at the Royal Hotel which is close by offers daily gym memberships and has a heated pool.
